Abstract

The house of the Konawe king called Laika aha has a large and spacious size. Laika aha is interpreted as a big house (palace). The house of the ruler or king in the past had a large structure and size. Built in the 18th century during the reign of King Tebawo with the title Sangia Inato, continued by King Maago with the title Sangia Indita (Mbinauti) and King Lakidende. Building laika aha houses continued in the Laiwoi Kingdom during the Tebau period in 1811 in the early 19th century. The function of laika aha is as a residence for the king and his family. As a place to carry out and organize government. As a place to carry out traditional ceremonies and a place for the King's court. This study concludes that the proto-type laika aha is analogous to a human form (toto'ono) associated with the elements of the house.
